the franich story
The name Franich is synonymous with West Auckland, the family having settled here in 1893.
Pictured right is John Franich, 3rd from the left in the front row, with his parents and siblings.
Below we see Mr Franich Senior, circa 1920's, with John Franich's parents and their siblings, on the family's vineyard on Swanson Road near Henderson.
John Franich Jewellers traded as a sole operator for 17 years on Henderson’s main street. In 2009 they accepted the opportunity to expand and relocate to Westfield WestCity and then across to their current location, in The Northwest Shopping Centre, in the ever expanding West Auckland retail zone.
